I haven't tried anything yet. But first I wanted to be sure about its incompatibility as reported in the lists (Pannoc, Bassron), which I own.
prescription reads: R/Menthol 0.5%, lipophilic creme ad 200g.

I would say no problem. Menthol can dissolve in the petroleum jelly during light heating. I don't quite understand where a problem will occur. Maybe a slight reduction in consistency?
