AD 300g < br/> According to the doctor this is a very fine ointment in use. This discerner however if we make them so in this formula. Should alcohol or another gum be added or is there something else missing in this formula?

Answer

I would opt for methyl cellulose. I would also expect that we would rather obtain an emulsion instead of an ointment.

mix 3g methyl cellulose with the tragacanth and rub this mixture with the sesame oil. Add 60ml of water and prepare a core emulsion by violently mixing. Seeks to obtain a white emulsion. Dilute the core emulsion slowly with 100ml of water.
take another light mortar and rub salicylic acid and 1.5 g nipagine; Weigh the glycerin in this mortar and mix powders and glycerin. Pour the emulsion into this second mortar under good mixing. Apply everything in a tarred bottle and apply weight with water.
use freshly boiled water.
