Discoloration of the following CR è me: Salicylic acid 0.9 g Betamethasone valerate 30mg Nizoral Creme 30g

Is there any notoriety of interaction with following formulation, after several days discolored the cream pink-red? We normally have to use the Nizoral speciality for the repayment. Nizoral contains sulfite, is there the problem?

Answer

The problem probably comes from the salicylic acid. Salicylic acid discolours under the influence of metallic ions. But if this interaction occurs here I do not know at first sight. But just add 0.1% Na2EDTA and tell me if there is improvement.
