Do you know a formula for scopolamine ointment that should be used for a patient who is operated by a salivary gland tumor?

Answer

I suppose the intention is to reduce saliva formation. For this application the scopolamine transdermal patch was used, which was also employed for travel sickness. In the Galenic formulary booklet on page 177 A composition was published to replace the transdermal patch. Pluronic or PLO Gel is now divided by the company Bassron. Usually, the ointment is applied behind the ear and covered with a round closing plaster.
