A doctor from the village asks me to make a loco of Sporanox syrup for a child with swallowing problems that does not receive a certificate for the existing syrup. Is this possible, because the vracprodukt is not

Available and when you open a capsule, does it fall apart in dozens of & #039; spheres & #039;? < br/>

Answer

Those spheres are not a problem but I fear that a clear syrup if the brand product is not possible. You can grind the spheres very finely using a coffee grinder. On these spheres the itraconazole is incorporated into a HPMC film. Very many excipients processed in the spheres are water soluble but the itraconazole does not. To solve this, the company Janssen uses various excipients such as Hpcyclodextrin (not available for pharmacies), propylene glycol, HCl.
I would therefore make the granules very fine with a coffee grinder and then rub it well in the Mortar. Then, suspending using Avicel (see Dispersio Cellulosi FN 5 or in my Galensich Formularium). I would use half sorbitol syrup and the other half of Aqua Conservans and aromatize with raspberry, grenadine what you have in stock.
