How can I optimize the following formula? Methadone 5mg/CC Tween 20 1.1 G mint essence 0.2 g aqua dest. AD 100 cc

We prepare methadone syrup according to the formula above NF VI. However after complaint about the bad taste we add after-saccharinate. But after 1 à 2 days a crystallization occurs. Can this be Ermeden?

Answer

The methadone solution is acidic and it forms saccharic acid, which is insoluble in water. I would suggest not to add a nasaccharinate but 50 ml of sorbitol syrup not crystallizable and for the remainder to be lensed with water up to 100 ml.

reaction

to date, the solution remains clear and there is no crystallization. The Pati ë NT is also satisfied with the taste!
