How do I best prepare an ointment with 50% DMSO?

Answer

Solution 1:
DMSO 50
Lanette SX 7.5
Fluib. Paraffin wax 6.25
White petroleum jelly 11.25
Propylene glycol 5
Water 20
Solution 2:
DMSO 50
Carbomeer gel TMF 50
Solution 3:
DMSO 50 g
Carbopol 1 g
Petroleum Jelly 3 G
non ionogenic emulsifying ointment FN V 46 g
Preparation: disperse Carbopol in petroleum jelly and mix this mixture with the non ionogenic emulsifying ointment. Mix this whole with DMSO, in sections.

Note: with the proposed prescription an emulsiecr è me with finer structure as without carbomeer arises. This makes this CR è more resistant to temperature fluctuations. The non-ionogenic emulsifying ointment is preferable to a hydrogel because the skin is less dehydrated and the surrounding skin is better protected. Processing of DMSO in Lanette-(e.g. Beelerbasis) or CETOMACROGOLCR è me gives an unstable preparation.
