How is it made with the bioavailability of the Omeprazole (Omeprazole) suspension prepared with Syrspend Alka?

Answer

Of the omeprazole suspension are with us know no data   known about its bioavailability. Syrspend Alka uses CaCO3 to neutralize the gastric juice. A bicarbonate solution is used In the TMF composition. This is a huge difference anyway. An alternate composition for this of the TMF was published and can be found after completing omeprazole in the search vein.

Data on bioavailability of this alternative composition for those of the TMF, which is still dissolved NaHCO3 as a neutralising agent for gastric acid used,   can be found   in the following publication

Wo JM, Eversmann J, Mann S. Pharmacokinetic profile of immediate-release omeprazole in patients with gastro-oesophageal reflux associated with gastroparesis. Aliment Pharmacol Ther. 2010 Feb 15; 31 (4): 516-22.

On bioavailability with Cacarbonaat as a neutralising agent, no data can be found. A first series of tests of the stability of Omeprazole suspension based on Syrspend SF Alka were carried out in the project work "Magistal preparations in the 21st century" at the KU Leuven. The stability of omeprazool processed with Syrspend SF Alka in artificial gastric juice was poor. In a short time there was a very large concentration deduction. Therefore, the preference should be given to Nabicarbonaat as a neutralising agent of acid gastric juice.
