How to make Wartec starting from Podophyllin resin

Wartec is 0.15% podofyllinetoxine in cream. We have podophyllin resin standing. The concentration of the toxin in the resin varies. Anyone have any idea what concentration of resin we should use to have 0.15% toxin? According to Bassron, this product was analysed according to the USP. On the pot Podophyllin resin is listed "pelt". We thought to make this cream in buffered Cetomacrogol cream. There is an example on the recipe-helpdesk Qualenica site

Answer

Chemical Nature of Podophyllin   The active components of Podophyllin are a class of compounds-the lignans, which are are by a dibenzyl-butane skeleton. [ 4] The commercially available resin is not standardized for Lignan content and thus different batches may vary markedly in their content of these substances. [6] Podophyllotoxin is the major lignan in both the resins. The maximum Lignan content in P., Peltatum is about 20%, while in P. Cinodi, it may approach 40%.   There you have to do with peltatum you can count on 20%
