Minoxidil 5% in Cutivate Creme

Can I make a stable preparation of this?

Answer

1 gram Cutivate Cream ointment contains 0.05 mg fluticasone propionate. The other substances are:

for the cream: liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristaat, cetostearyl alcohol, Cetomacrogol 1000, propylene glycol, imidureum, disodium dodekahydrogen phosphate, Citric acid 1 aq,   purified water.

The structure formula of minoxidil shows that in its totality minoxidil is unguessed.   Minoxidil is very little soluble in water and has a pKa = 4.6 so no major changes will be made Set to the pH for the stability of Fluticasone propionate.   There will be only a minimal amount of minoxidil dissolve in the propylene glycol of the cream so that no problems of instability should be expected here.
