Mouthwash hydrocortisone, Lidocaine, Nystatin

The following mouthwash is regularly prescribed by stomatologists and oncological services: Hydrocortisone 300mg, Lidocaine HCl 300mg, Nystatin 2.4 Milj. Eenh., NaCMC 2gr, mint spiritus Q.S. Water ad 500ml. Like your opinion concerning mainly the preparation itself (NaCMC?, preservation,...), but possibly also reservations about the therapeutic usefulness of this preparation (cortisone?).

Answer

Analogue composition is written in the TMF, albeit with HPMC but the preparation with NaCMC does not make any problem, as NaCMC is exceptionally compatible with lidocaine. HCl.

The preparation method is described in the TMF.
