Nizoral shampoo, Salicylic acid 0.5%, LCD 10%. Please advice.

Answer

Nizoral Shampoo contains 20 mg ketoconazole per G shampoo + as excipients

sodium laurylethersulfate disodium monolauryl thersulfosuccinate kokosvetic acid diethanolamide

Laurdimonium hydrolyzed Animal Collagen Macrogol 120 methylglucosedioleate sodium chloride

sodium hydroxide Perfume Bouquet Imidurea Hydrochloric acid erythrosine (E127) distilled water

The quantity of salicylic acid is low and although there is a lot of chance   that the salicylic acid dissolves in the shampoo base, I would melt 5 G cetomacrogol and dissolve the salicylic acid in the melted cetomacrogol and gradually stir this solution under good Dilute with half the Nizoral shampoo. The LCD I would mix with the other half and then merge both parts together.
