In the preparation of the following recipe, when adding chlorhexidine digluconate solution flakes are formed:

Chlorhexidine gluconate Solution 20% 4 G nystatin of or 1x24ml 100000 E/24 ml, lidocaine HCl 100 mg, mint spiritus 2 ml, water 169.9 ml < br/>

Answer

Upon review of the composition of Nystatin oral suspension, the possibility of an uncleaned after CMC with lidocaineHCl and on the other hand with Chlorhexidine appears. This incompatibility can only be avoided by using a non-ionic solvent such as hydroxyethylcellulose. One will therefore have to proceed to the preparation of a loco nystatin oral suspension. As excipient can be used: Hydroxyethylcellulose (Natrosol 250 g) 720 mg, glycerin 28 g, sugar 22 g and water for preservation up to 100 ml. If necessary, hallowed be can be flavored with the excipients, which are found in the composition of Nystatin oral suspension.
