The Fluimucil I have dissolved in 2ml of sterile water to prevent agglomerates; Still clubbers in the end but have gotten away MBV ointment grinder. Wwhat worries me light however is the discoloration of the Vit A (Yellow-> White), is this to be prevented?

Fluimucil is a gelyofilized powder, which is administered after dissolving via a ë Rosol. Given the form offered and the immediate use after administration, we can suspect a short shelf life. Therefore, in this case I would not proceed to dissolve but rub off the powder with sweet almond oil before processing in the petroleum jelly. Perhaps the discoloration of vitamin A is therefore avoided. I have no explanation for the discoloration observed. In this case, an anhydrous preparation is likely to be preferable. I would avoid treatment with the ointment roller because of possible air strikes, which is detrimental to the stability of Vit A.
