Recipe for a cleansing milk-how do you succeed?

Prescription: Propylene Glycol 35 g PEG 4000 40 g PEG 1500 25 g Calendula MT 10 Arctium Lappa MT 10 g Sweet Almond Oil 30 g Distilled water AD 250 g This should be a cleansing smelk for acne. Processing almond oil poses a problem. No emulsifier present. PEG 1500 We do not have at our disposal. Do PEG 400. Can this be used? How do we process the mother tinctures in the whole with a beautiful milk as a result?

Answer

1. Preparation of PEG 1500

PEG 1500 = PEG 400 6 parts + PEG 4000 4   Parts so for   25g: PEG 400 15 g + PEG 4000 10 g

2. Preparation of the emulsion

Take a tarred (Tarra = T) bottle and bring in that bottle 35 g propylene glycol, 50 g PEG 4000 and 15 g PEG 400. Add 30 g sweet almond oil.

Weigh 5 g Lanette N or SX and bring it into the bottle, which is placed on a hot water bath until all the PEG and Lanette are completely melted.

Boil 100 ml purified water, allow to cool to 60 ° C   and pour the warm water into the bottle. Close the bottle and shake gently until an emulsion is formed.

Be careful when opening the bottle for sure as long as the solution is still reasonably warm.   Allow the emulsion to cool down in the occasional shake.

At   The cooled emulsion the MT's are   mixed and eventually water is put on weight   (= T + 250)
