Question

Posted on: March 6 2013

Regularly i get a prescription from a plastic surgeon with following recipe: Hydroquinone 4% Kojine acid 4% (depigmentating) retinoid acid 0.05% Cetomacrogolcreme ad 100gram

< br/> This preparation succeeds perfectly but after a while the CR è me. A watery substance comes from the tube.
I myself have done some search work and today I made it in the following way:
R/hydroquinone 4%
Kojine acid 4%
retinoid acid 0.05%
Butylhydroxytolua 0.01% (as antioxidants for the Tretinoin)
Unguentum Aquosum, Aqua AD 100%

Answer

This is a good cooking method. Hydroquina is incompatible with Cetomacrogol. However, attention should be paid to the distribution of retinoid acid. An article appeared in the Farm about the processing of retinoid acid. Newspapers. of Belgium. I would give the cream a shelf life of 2 months, kept in the fridge.
