Is there a "loco" Gyno-Daktarin?

Sometimes I get a prescription where Gyno-Daktarin cr è me another active ingredient is added. Given that Miconazole nitrate is available in bulk, the pharmaceutical speciality should not be used according to the requirements of the RIZIV.

Answer

(based on the formulation study carried out by trainee pharmacist N. Bervoets, as a loco-assignment for the internship year 2005-2006). The following passages are taken from the report:

The Cetomacrogol cream is recommended by the TMF as a vehicle for among other things antimycotics and this for the treatment of all kinds of skin conditions. The Cetomacrogol cream TMF seemed less liquid than the Gyno-Daktarin and therefore it was decided to change the amounts of fat and water phase and then compare the new bases.

Finally we opt for the Cetomacrogol cream with Vloieb. Paraff. and white Vaseline Ana 10.5 g per 100g cream. This gives as global composition for the Loco Gyno-Daktarin:
