We have a problem with: Monostearine 8g stearic acid 500mg Aqua Conservans 79.5 g propylene glycol 6g ethanol 5.5 g

Here we have to make a cleansing milk. The emulsion does not succeed. Do we have no shortage of fat phase?

Answer

Indeed a lot of fat phase is not present but does this need to be for a milk that is expected to cleanse the skin? With Monostearine PB V, the emulsion could be tackled because this monosteraine also contains some soap (O/W emulsifier). But this is not the case for Monostearine Eur Farm. We can form a bit of organic soap by adding 800 mg triethanolamine. By reaction with stearic acid, a small amount of triethanolaminestearate will be formed.
