We were asked about the composition of UZAO-cold ointment (for treatment dry Exchamois: Hydrating ointment).

The composition is according to the prescribing physician:

R/Urea 2% Sweet Almond oil 10% Cold Cream AD 100g

There is a chance that urea increases the instability of cooling ointment. So perhaps best to use the cool ointment USP, which by the presence of borax has better stability than the cooling ointment PB V. The composition of these cool ointments are shown in the booklet Galenic formularium.
