Posted on: April 13 2015What is the best method of preparation for this eye ointment with Opticrom (for the eyelids)?
R/Opticrom Coll 10 ml; Arlacel 1 G; Vaseline 10 g
Perhaps Arlacel and Vaseline best replaced by Ung. Oculare? Can Opticrom be lightly heated to add to the ointment base?
Answer
You can use the eye ointment base and when the melted mixture has largely cooled down you can add the Opticrom. I don't expect a dissolution at a lower temperature.
