What do you think is the best method to make next mouthwash?

R/Lidocaine HCl 0.6 g; Vit. A Oil solution 50000E/g; Hydrocortisone acetate 1.5 g; Hydroxyethylcellulose 5 G; Sir. Simplex 90 ml; Mint Water AD 300 g Solubilisation of the Vit. A solution with Tween 80 is needed here. We have an oil solution from Vit. A acetate 1500000E/g, so we need 10 g. How much Tween 80 should we use? Should an adaptation be done to the other substances? Acceptable in terms of flavour or adding saccharinate?

Answer

You do indeed need 10 g of 1.5 X 10 E 6   units per G.. To solubilize   It in a total volume of 300 ml you can use 25 g Tween 80. Missing from your solution: 1. Preservative (0.2  % sorbic acid)

Start with the solubilisation. For this   you completely moistened the entire wall of a tarred bottle of 300 ml (Tarra = T g)   with the Tween 80 and mix with this polysorbate the vitamin A concentrate and the Mint spiritus (necessary for the preparation of mint water).   The solution should be clear. Add in small fractions 93 g     (= 70 ml) sugar syrup and mix after each fraction by turning the bottle around.   The solution should remain clear. Slowly add in fractions 150 ml of water and mix the contents of the bottle after adding each quantity. The solution should remain clear.

Take a mortar and bring in the mortar lidocaïneHCl, hydrocortisone acetate, sorbic acid and hydroxyethylcellulose. Weigh in the mortar 27 g sugar syrup and mix until homogeneous.     dilute slowly under good stirring with 75 ml of water. The Hydroxyethyl cellulose has to swell and there is   a nice suspension.

Pour the contents of the mortar into the bottle with Vit A and mix. Bring on weight (T + 300) with water.

In terms of flavour is anise oil perhaps a better choice than mint oil? You can not eat with nasachiarinate because of reaction with lidocaïneHCl (-and +). You could use Sucralose (Canderel,   from the power supply)
