Which hydrogel can we make magijet for the treatment of venous ulcers, since the available are not payable?

Gel for in wound:
R/Propylene glycol 200g
Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose 3000 (mPa. s) 45g
Aqua ad 1000g
HPMC 3000 is currently not yet available in trade, called HPMC 4000-5600. In any case, HPMC 4000-5600 gives this concentration a very viscous gel. How many g HPMC 4000-5600 do we need to obtain a gel that has roughly the same viscosity as a gel made with 45g HPMC 3000?

Answer

Normally in Belgium HPMC 4000 (presumably from the company Dow) is distributed. HPMC 3000 would be described in the Japanese pharmacopoeia and presumably a product of Shin Etsu. I would suggest to prepare the gel with 3.5% HPMC 4000. I am still looking for if a link between the two products can be found.
