Zovirax labialis cr è me would contain up to 40% propylene glycol. Can a cetomacrogolcreme with 40% propylene glycol be a good basis, or can you suggest a good formula?

Answer

Acyclovir is very little soluble in water and I can imagine that such a high concentration of propylene glycol is required. I think that with this hoarseness it is still possible to prepare a creme using Cetomacrogol, cetostearyl alcohol, petroleum jelly and liquid paraffin. Maybe the amounts of cetomacrogol and cetostearyl alcohol should be increased?
