Can salicylic acid be processed 5% together with Eumovate cream?

Answer

Eumovate Cream:   contains glycerol monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol, self emulsifying   glycerol monostearate (Arlacel 165), synthetic white wax (Beeswax substitute 6621),   Dimeticon 20, glycerol, chlorine cresol, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified   water. Arlacel™ 165 is described as:   Versatile nonionic O/W emulsifier   ( Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG 100 Stearate)     mainly used in non-polar oil phases. Tolerates the addition of mildly acidic actives and salts. Recommended topical usage levels of 1-15%. All this merged I expect an incompatibility with 5% salicylic acid. The cream may be related to hydrophilic anionic cream of the TMF or image base in which the amount of cetyl or cetostearyl alcohol may be increased.
