A cream with 3% minoxidil for the eyebrows.

A doctor asks me a stable CR è me for the eyebrows, which contains 3% minoxidil. I read that minoxidil base is insoluble in water and that the salts have no great stability in solution.

Answer

What you write is correct. Because of the fact that a medicinal product in dissolved form is usually better reared, I would opt for a gel. Actually a minoxidil lotio, which we make with the help of Carbomer semi-fixed.

Try this composition:

minoxidil 3g
Propylene glycol 30g
ethanol 13g
Carbomer 980 0.5 g
triethanolamine 0.5 g
water up to 100g
This gel I would pack in a tube with a fine cannula so that the CLI ë NT Would be able to put a small amount at his fingertips and put on the eyebrows.
