A dermatologist from the region asks for a narcotic gel, which can be prepared by the Magijet and which does NOT work vasoconstrictorially. He wants to use the gel to numbe the skin in the removal of

Rosacea with the laser. < br/>

Answer

(due to Prof. Dr. A. Goossens)

according to a very good overview article: "Topical anesthetics in Dermatology" in the J Am Acad Dermatol 2000; 43:286-98 (W. Huang, A. Vidimos) cause lidocaine (without adrenalin), Prilocaine, Tetracaine and Benzocaine vasodilation; and this in contrast to cocaine.

so I suggest a gel, which contains 15% benzocaine in Carbomeergel TMF.
