A dilution of Elocom cream leads to an unstable cream

R/Elocom Creme 100g urea 5%, menthol 1%, cold cream or Ava creme 200g. The preparation Discerner always also after adding arlacel as in the question box is already suggested

Answer

elocom 0.1% lipophilic Cream contains:   W Itte Petroleum jelly, white beeswax, hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, Hexyleenglycol, titanium dioxide, aluminium octenylsuccinate starch, diluted phosphoric acid, purified water.

Phosphatidylcholine is a W/O emulsifier and so we have to do with a W/O cream as the name indicates.

1 ° Case: One uses the cold cream Conforma. This base is an O/W cream (abnormal!!)   And you will therefore experience an incompatibility of emulsifiers. You will best strengthen the O/W emulsifier by adding Tween 80.

2 ° case: one uses AVA cream or a W/O cold cream: In this case no incompatibility of emulsifiers should occur.
