At the request of a physician: a drying and disinfecting powder for on the back of a young man, "subcutaneous" acne.
Preferably with sulfur incorporated into it, wants per se WITHOUT skin antibiotics (no erythromycin/clindamycin)
He wrote for:
R/Colloidal sulfur 3% (off trade)
Hexachlorofa 0.5 g (out of trade)
Magnesium Stearate 5g
Light Magnesium carbonate 5g
Rose oil 2 drops in talk ad 100g
Do you have an idea to replace this prehistoric formula?
Answer
As far as sulphur is concerned you will have to use the only sulphur, which is still available, being sulphur for external use. Hexachlorofone I would replace with chlorhexidinediacetate 1 to 2%. Perhaps Clioquinol may also qualify?
