Does anyone have experience with the preparation of a Captopril beverage or suspension?

Answer

I have a composition for Captopril 0.75 mg/ml, which reads: Captopril 100 mg 1 tablet, vehicle up to 120 ml. Given the reference from the US, pre-made excipients such as Ora-Sweet or Ora-Plus are used. We can make use of the excipient of Certa based on xanthan gum. The article also mentions the stability data. From this it can be learned that the shelf life is limited to 1 week at KT and 2 weeks when stored in the refrigerator. The importance of the ph of the excipient is evident from the preservation in a cherry syrup with ph 3.3 while the Ora vehicles have a ph around 4.1. In cherry syrup, the content after fourteen days is at KT = 56% and stored in the refrigerator = 64%. A too acidic pH is therefore not desirable.
