Dose of vitamin A?

We have received a prescription with Retinol 25 000 IU per capsule, S/1/day. We have vitamin A acetate powder in stock at 500 000 IU/gram. This means 0.05 grams per capsule. 50 mg Vitamin A per capsule, can this be? Is the ADH not = 800 µ g? Then this dose would far exceed the normal dose of vitamin A? Or should we still take into account molecular mass of Vit A acetate tov vitamin A?

Answer

As a daily dose for vitamin A, I find two values for oral administration. On the one hand 25,000 units and 100 kE at a time and per day 200kE (list Bassron). So it can. However, it is noted that a prescription is required above 10 kE.
