Erythromycin solution

R/erythromycin 1.4 G, zinc acetate 80mg, antiseptic solution 20ml and water ad 30ml This solution is cloudy and strikes down. I have added 0.4 g of anhydrous citric acid. This makes the solution back clear. However, does this have any effect on the operation and what is the effect of zinc acetate in this solution?
