Following formula shows a grey discoloration after 3 weeks with firmer consistency: Chlorhexidine gluconate 0.75% miconazole Nitrate 2% Cetomacrogol cream ad 50g

< br/> incompatibility chlorhexidine nitrate?

Answer

Chlorhexidine salts are incompatible with buffered (possibly unbuffered) cetomacrogolcr è me TMF because of the presence of sorbic acid. This preservative should be replaced by another. If the CR è me is prepared with freshly cooked water and wrapped in a tube, given the presence of chlorhexidine, the addition of a preservative is less necessary. Shelf Life Limited to 2 months.
