Following preparation is too liquid neomycin sulfate 500 mg Hydrocortisone 1g lidocaine HCl 2g carboxymethylcellulose Paste AD 100g

We have used 2g NaCMC but obtained a too liquid gel, according to the judgement of the physician... Was it not better to use Carbomeergel TMF or is the concentration NaCMC not correct?

Answer

Although Lidocaine HCl is not incompatible with NaCMC, the same cannot be said of neomycin sulfate. With Carbomer, you are not going to step backwards on the contrary, as both medicines are incompatible with carbomer. You can best use HPMC and work according to the answer to question ' Are there any problems in the preparation of this HPMC gel? '
