In the next Cr è knife a grey discoloration was observed after a certain retention period:
R/chlorhexidine acetate 0.3 g
Prednisolone 0.3 g
Lidocaine Base 1.0 g
CETOMACROGOLCR è me ad 100g

R/Salicylic acid 0.6 g
Betametasone dipropionate 18mg
chlorhexidine acetate 0.6 g
CETOMACROGOLCR è me ad 60g
with which Cr è mebases is chlorhexidine acetate or digluconate incompatible?

Answer

Chlorhexidine salts are incompatible with buffered (possibly unbuffered) cetomacrogolcr è me TMF because of the presence of sorbic acid. This preservative should be replaced by another. If the CR è me is prepared with freshly cooked water and wrapped in a tube, given the presence of chlorhexidine, the addition of a preservative is less necessary. Shelf Life Limited to 2 months.
