Question
Posted on: March 6 2013How to add LCD to betamethasone dipropionate oily cream without breaking the cream?
Liquor carbonis detergent 5g
Salicylic Acid powder 5g
emulsify 83 6g
Vaseline White 54g
Water ad 100g < br/>
Answer
Given the increase in the concentration of Arlacel did not give a solution I would follow the following, albeit more cumbersome, procedure.
Tarreer a metal bowl with pestle and weigh af 10g starch. Add LCD, mix and let the alcohol evaporate, possibly under the warm airflow of a hair dryer. Stir regularly. Determine the mass of the powder in the bowl (= M). Transfer the powder Mass in the bowl to a weighing paper.
Weigh the amount of betamethasondiprop. and salicylic acid. Apply the Betamethasondiprop. In the bowl and mix first with salicylic acid and then with the starch + LCD.
Melts in a beaker 54g petroleum jelly together with 10g Arlacel 83. Add (100-5-64-M) G warm water and emulsifying. Let cool.
Transfer the W/O cream into fractions in the bowl and Rmeng with the powder mixture after each addition to a homogeneous cream.
