How do I prepare following ear drops for the inner ear: prednisolone 100mg triamcinolone 10mg urea 1g Fys. OPL AD 15ml

Can prednisolone be replaced by prednisolone sodium phosphate and dissolved in water together with the urea? Dissolve triamcinolone in ethanol and add?

Answer

Given that we have to do with ear drops for the inner ear, we need to find water-soluble forms for both prednisolone and Triamcinolone. For Prednisolone, you are giving up the correct product. From Triamcinolone I see you not so easily find a water-soluble form. I would replace it with dexamethasone disodium phosphate 0.66 mg per ml. There are formulas of ear drops with this product.
I would also like to say that these ear drops should be delivered sterile.
