Nifedipine powder Bulk is apparently no longer available. The specialties are oil caps (or retardforms). How can you make this preparation?
Answer
I suggest using Adalat retard 20mg tablets and making them in a coffee grinder fine. The list of raw materials mentioned in the package leaflet make me suspect that the tablet is made up of pellets so that by crushing the retardaction is destroyed. Of the powder mass obtained, an aliquot can be weighed so that we have 150mg for the preparation of 60 capsules.
