How to prepare a cream with 10% gabapentin and 5% doxepineHCl (Sinequan)

Both buffered and non-buffered Cetomacrogol cream seem to give problems

Answer

With help of pharmacist Hannelore Casier

The cream succeeds with anionic hydrophilic cream. This is in fact contrary to the rule + incompatible with-or doxepinH + incompatible   with LS-    Gabapentin is very well soluble in water and is an amphottar molecule   with an amine and a carboxyl group. But the amine group is stronger basically as doxepin. I     Assume that doxepineH + is converted to Doxepin, which is then likely to be suspended in the cream (solubility 31.6 mg/l)   gabapentin is very well soluble in water.     So best start with the finely-crafted Gabapentine tablets to rub with the calculated amount of anionic hydrophilic cream. In Another mortar, the Sinequan tablets are finely rubbed and the cream with the gabapentin is slowly added to this powder under good blending. The obtained cream can be finished either with the Unguator or with the ointment roller
