If the characteristics of the powder are not ideal for good mixing with other powders, the order of addition of the components of the composition can play a role. I would start by bringing half the amount of alucol into the mortar and rubbing it open. After that, 8-MOP is gradually added and mixed with Alucol. If the mixture does not go smoothly I would drip the blend into the mortar with 1 to 2 ml of ethanol under good stirring. Once the ethanol is nicely distributed, I would add the rest of the alucol and mix it with the moistened mass and then add Mgtrisilicate. The contents of the mortar are spread on a pure sheet of paper in order to allow the alcohol to evaporate. The dry mixture is still mixed in the mortar after a few moments.

I do not exclude that the humidification with ethanol does not have.
