I would like to make "American" glycerin Suppos.

These contain 80% glycerin and further after stearate and water. The problem now is that I cannot get to after stearate. I do have Mg stearate. Can I convert this Mg salt into a Na salt in a simple way or is it in the formula to replace it with another soap after stearate?

Answer

You could try it with sodium docusate or sodium dioctylsulfosuccinate.
