A physician seeks an alternative to Betnesol lavements for a colitis patient.

These are no longer in the trade. The Pati ë nte should be given a corticoid enema, since 5-Asa does not give the desired results.

In analogy with a beclomethasone dipropionate Clysma, which is described in the literature we suggest:
betametasone dipropionate 6.4 mg (= 5 mg betamethason)
after EDTA 0.1 g
Contrac PARABENOPL. FN 1 G
Carbomeer 974 P 0.3 g
TRIS 0.18 g
purified water up to 100 g
