Question
Posted on: March 4 2016Preparation 100 ml Diphencyprone 0.001% in acetone
Answer
The lowest usual concentration is 0.01% dissolved in acetone. We have to do here with a 10 X more diluted solution so that for 100 ml 1 mg of active substance is needed.
Taking into account the availability of a sensitive balance, I suggest weighing and dissolving 25 mg of diphencyprone in 50 ml of acetone dissolve 250 mg of butylhydroxytolulene in this solution and take an aliquot of 2 ml. Dilute to 100 ml. This solution can be used later for the preparation of BV 0.01% solution.
The concentrated solution should be stored in a bottle completely wrapped with aluminum foil. Best to store in the refrigerator (deepfreezer) . Shelf life for 6 months
The solution, which is delivered to the customer, is also completely coated with all foil. It stores this bottle in the refrigerator
