Preparation of Bromazepam Syrup

It concerns an adult Pati ë NT, which usually took Lexotan 12mg, but now has swallowing problems. I tried to make a syrup of 100ml in which 240mg of Bromazepam was processed (1 KFL = 12mg). Vlgs literature I possessed about solubility would easily dissolve bromazepam in ethanol: I just wanted to use 5ml (since it already uses morphine, Neurontin etc). Since it did not dissolve completely in the syrup I still did 1% methyl cellulose 400 to keep it in suspension. I had the impression that no taste correction was needed. That has now become my solution.

Answer

This is not a bad method. An alternative is to add 10g propylene glycol. So, dissolve bromazepam in 5ml ethanol and 10g propylene glycol and add to this solution syrup or sorbitol 70% and not vice versa! And wait and see if there is no precipitation...
