In the preparation of a lotion, progesterone 1% and betamethasone dipropionate 0.02% do not dissolve completely in an ethanol-water mixture.

The composition reads: Progesterone 1%; Betamethasone dipropionate (BDP) 0.02%; Ethanol 96% Q.S.; WATER AD 100ML

Answer

The solubility of progesterone   in water is nil. For 1% progesterone   You need pure alcohol 96 °. Doctor agrees?   YES! Then prepare a solution of 50 mg BDP in 10 g ethanol and weigh 4 g off. Rest is kept in refrigerator for future preparations. Add 1 g of progesterone and ling with alcohol up to 100 ml.

Doctor disagrees: Use formula Betamethasone Dipropionate Hydroalcoholic solution TMF with adjustment of Amount of BDP as described above; maybe (?) must be amount of HPC Verdubbbeld. Progesterone dissolve together with BDP   in alcohol phase
