Problems with a 3% minoxidil solution for a customer, which is allergic to propylene glycol.

In our composition: Minoxidil 3g, ethanol 50ml, glycerin 10g and water up to 100ml, forms a crystalline precipitate after a few days.

Answer

Make your solution in ethanol 50ml and 10ml isopropanol; Slowly add water and see if there is a precipitation; If yes add 5ml isopropanol and dilute further with water; See if there is a precipitation. If this is the case add additional 5ml isopropanol. Fill with water up to 100ml.
