What is the best formulation without benzyl alcohol (no longer available)? It is intended to be in the patient's home in case of seizures.

Diazepam 3 mgweigh or measure af propylene glycol and PEG 4000 and heat lightly until the PEG is dissolved; Dissolve diazepam; Allow to cool and add ethanol (= I);
Ethanol 0.15 ml
Propylene glycol 0.45 ml
Benzoeic 2.4 mg
Nabenzate 97.6 mg
Polyethylene glycol 4000 75 mg
Povidone K30 (PVP) 100 mg (viscosities booster and also works in solvent-promoting)
water up to 2 ml
dissolve in lightly heated water: benzoeic acid, after benzoate and povidone and add this solution to I; apply to volume with water and fill in rectioles (with a certain overfill 10%?)
