Rifadine syrup is no longer available. Some people recommend using CERTA EXIPIENS. Is this the best solution or are there other possibilities, which are better?

Answer

I have ever known the qualitative composition of Certa excipiens. As far as I can remember, xanthan gum forms the basis. Now one can also make a valid preparation on the basis of the sugar-free viscous excipient of the USP.
the composition of the syrup looks like this:
rifampicin 2.0 g
polysorbate 80 20mg
sodium bisulphite 100mg
sugar-free viscous excipient USP to 100ml
liver in a brown bottle and at room temperature Lasting for 4 weeks.

Compound sugar-free viscous excipiens:

xanthan gum 200mg
after saccharinate 200mg
potassium sorbate 150mg
citric acid 100mg
Sorbitol 2.0 g
mannitol 2.0 G
water up to 100ml
