R/NILSTAT 30 ml, lidocaine 400 mg, propylene glycol 10 gram, Copagel 2 gram, aroma vanilla 1 ml, aroma amygdala 1 ml, aq. distil. AD 500 ml. Prescription pediatrician. Because of the aromas, this preparation is not refunded. Should the preparation be made with these aromas, or should mint Spiritus be used (however, repaid preparation)?

Answer

There is indeed a problem regarding the aromas with the intervention of the RIZIV. Seen in the prescription amandeloroma occurs and this tastes bitter I would opt for another bitter aroma. I have found a bitter aroma in the list of reimbursable products as well as the bitter ornajeschiltincture. The vanillin aroma could be replaced by vanillin. This also seems compensated. To specify concentrations I should dig deeply into my documents.     I think there is a bitter orange peel syrup, which we could use as a basis. I would recommend working with small amounts and test the taste out.
