Should a solution potassium permanganate 0.01% be filtered in water?

The question arises because an additional fee for filtration can be charged, if filtering proves necessary.

Answer

Apart from an additional fee, I have to answer that any solution for medical use should be filtered so that the preparation would meet the pharmacopoeia requirements.

I also wish to draw attention to the fact that the filtration of a KMnO4 solution cannot be done by a paper filter but that a sintered glass filter is used for this. The NF V writes for glass wool, placed in a funnel, to be used.
