I find nowhere on the leaflet of HAC how long the diluted solution remains effective. I seem to recall having ever read that this diluted solution is only 1 month shelf life. An idea?

If we are talking about the chemical shelf life then it is definitely longer than 1 month. But there is also the microbiological shelf life. And it depends on a lot of factors such as the environment in which the solution is used, use and preservation conditions... So it becomes a bit of an arbitrary choice. And then 1 month is not a bad term?
